    Attention to detail is one thing I learned well in the military

    One lesson from the military that I will never forget is attention to detail. 

    On small projects like this I always do a hand rubbed oil finish.

    I always do an oil finish on heirloom pieces like this. The same stuff that I mixed myself for years on custom gunstocks. It takes time and a lot of coats but it's worth it.

    Kitchen cabinets are all about the detail. I don't skimp on materials and make sure they are built to last a lifetime!
